Thoughts…

I know most of you will be saying what time did she post this one…well it is now 1:52 AM and I work in the morning but God has been tugging on my heart to talk to you about lies.  Its hard to get rest when the calling is this strong pulling me to verse after verse to put in your path, to bless you and not harm you, but there are those out there that do cause harm, they turn on you, and then completely shut you out, and act like you don’t exist, what is causing them to do this….this is what the Lord led me to, its because they don’t know how fill their cup with love instead of hate, they don’t know how to see truth instead of lies.  They would rather live without peace they live in a world where they create situations that cause them to be the center of attention, they never like others to have the limelight, or they try to turn the limelight back on themselves never being happy that someone else has a moment to shine.  They bring hurt to others more and more yet they can’t see they are the ones causing the hurt…because they have lied not only to others but to themselves.  I can’t stand lies, deceit, or falsehood.  I have a real hard time even being in the same room with liars, and I see them, I have really have my radar up on these type of people.  My issue is I point out that flaw with someone else and suddenly I am the one on the outs.  Believe me when I tell you I have been the one to point out that grain of sand in someones eye and not seen the boulder in my own (paraphrasing here) but you get my meaning.  But now through years of constant prayer and reading in HIS word I have come to see that it is lies that hold them back from loving and being free….
So today in my everyday thoughts this little voice kept prompting me about wicked thoughts and wickedness and how easy it is for someone to be led astray from good….the devil uses prompts to tug at our heart strings, to bring second guesses into our thought pattern but really what takes us down that path, pride! It is feeling full of ourselves, of being prideful in what we do and then placing that before what God does for us.  Pride keeps us from experiencing true freedom in living.  Pride also covers up our real life, we use lies, deceit, and misguided words to protect ourselves from others hurting us, or for shooting our false face (an image in our own mind that we try to keep intact) with truth shots, but truth is the only way to be free.

Psalm 10:4

In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

Lies compile upon each other, and soon you tell another lie to cover for the first and so on.  Then pride covers it like a band-aid but really it never heals, because we don’t let truth in.  So the false lies and deceit fester, become infected and continue to bleed or even weep with puss, how do you clean that???  How do you stop from adding more poison to the open wound?  You wash it with the HOLY SPIRIT, you ask for the HEALING REDEEMER apply the salve to the wound, and you have GOD stitch it and cover it with a clean cloth.  Then you can stop the lies.

Psalm 34:13

keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.

Yet there are so many who fall into this trap – and the ones closest to them sometimes have blinders and do not see their deceit or falsehoods.  Yet when one stands against them they turn away, no matter how hard the truth teller tries to break their shell of lies, they can’t not until the one who is deceitful turns from his/her wicked ways.  Not until they surrender their life to true living can they find peace.

Psalm 34:14

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Psalm 4:8

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Sometimes you feel like your back is against the wall with all the lies that surround you look to the Prince of Peace for your happiness.

Psalm 120:6

Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.

Sometimes you live with so many lies you do not see your own envy but you need to release it and let peace reside in your heart so the LORD can fill your cup to overflowing.

Proverbs 14:30

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

1 Thessalonians 3:12

May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.

Psalm 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

So remember release lies and deceit into the your daily life and it will catch up with you and give you more worries!  If you sew in love, peace and understanding be prepared to be blessed!!!
