Day 4 – Quote me

Do you have a favorite quote that you return to again and again? What is it, and why does it move you?

John 14:12-14

New International Version (NIV)

12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

13 years ago in Nov, our son was born with Neuroblastoma Cancer, he was just hours old when we discovered the tumor, and just days old when he had his first round of chemo.  Throughout his whole 4 month battle, (I know it doesn’t sound like a long time) but when you are only months old it seemed like forever to a parent in prayer.  So I search for a verse to pray over and over while we waited the long hours at the hospital, I was led to this verse.  I still pray it over my son, and have prayed it into my everyday life.  For our son was healed, and is now almost 13 years cancer free.  So I am moved every time I use this verse and I am thankful that I can enjoy my son and watch him grow.

  1. Yep we have had those seasons, hang in there as the good outweigh the bad !!! And soon those bad downright ugly just become a wisp of a faded memory in our minds because the GOOD and Happy ones will always shine through especially if you focus your marriage on God first then each other – the rest will fall into place.
