CHRISTmas

So the latest from the big apple is there is a billboard sponsored by atheist group saying that nobody needs Christ at Christmas and I for one am going to come back and say Christ is Christmas for without Him there would be no holiday.  Even if most scholars point out that it started as a pagan holiday, no one not even atheists would not get paid time off, extended holidays, you would have no celebration at all, what would all the stores do? For without Christ – Christmas would not be here and that is the true meaning that you are trying to point out, so what if you don’t want Christ in your CHRISTmas, I for one could not care if you don’t believe.  I DO BELIEVE and therefore find this very hurtful and in poor taste to me as a Believer.  But then Christians have been one of the most  persecuted  groups outside of Jews since the beginning, and we do not foresee that ending anytime soon.  I believe my God would not want me to judge your lack of judgement but my inner soul is screaming at you right now to be a decent human being and let others believe what they want, there is a place and time for freedom of speech but this is just downright hate.   But then maybe that is the difference between you and me, because I do find this hurtful and its a slam at my core belief.  You say you are not meaning that, and it’s just freedom of speech then do it in July and not right now at Christmas, as for me (God forgive me) I feel atheists are shallow individuals who do not even have a clue what humanity is, for if they did you would have not put up that banner at this time of the year.  I for one do not need to see your take on my belief, and maybe just maybe if you gave God a chance you would see that the true meaning of CHIRSTmas is CHRIST.

Isaiah 9

New International Version (NIV)

9 [a]Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan—

2 The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
3 You have enlarged the nation
and increased their joy;
they rejoice before you
as people rejoice at the harvest,
as warriors rejoice
when dividing the plunder.
4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat,
you have shattered
the yoke that burdens them,
the bar across their shoulders,
the rod of their oppressor.
5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood
will be destined for burning,
will be fuel for the fire.

6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.

So to me Jesus was and is that Child – the one God gave to us – the one who let Himself be a sacrifice for the whole world – this is the meaning of Chirstmas.  He was born, but because He was born He also was crucified, died and rose again – and He will be back to judge the living and the dead and when HE comes back His kingdom will be forever!  So for now I want to wish each and every one of you a MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS for it is foretold

1 Thessalonians 5:2   for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

I guess in my opinion I would rather believe in something that will come, then to not believe in anything at all, so I do believe in Christmas, I do believe it is a special time of year where good outweighs bad, where one can voice their opinion so to the atheists reading this  merry xmas (if you are questioning why you don’t believe in anything email me) but to the rest of the readers out there reading this a Blessed Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year.
