good grief consistency

We can gain much insight into human nature by viewing comics, ok I know your thinking where is this going.  But take a moment with me and view Charlie Brown for instance, here is a young kid that never has anything go his way, has a younger kid as his mentor (Linus), his best friend is his dog, but occasionally his dog looks down on him as well.  Then there is Linus’s sister Lucy, who’s view of Charlie Brown is that of a blockhead, his sister Sally uses him to write to Santa Claus, and to get closer to her crush Linus.  His friends PigPen, Peppermint Patty, Marcy and so many other look down on him.  Then he runs into the little red hair girl….the love of his life.  It looks as though life will get better for Charlie Brown but alas no, it doesn’t, but then our lives seem to be this way too.  Friends come and go along the path of life, some are better than others some we wish would could point out their shortfalls more often than not just like they do to Charlie Brown.  But we know if we were like that all the time friends might not like us, they may “UNFRIEND” us.  But when it comes down to it Charlie Brown finds his friends really do care.  Just like most of our friends really do care in their own ways they are true friends because we share the same bond that ties all believers together, sometimes they just need to be reminded.

Psalm 119:63

I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.

Proverbs 17:17

friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

1 John 4:7

God’s Love and Ours ] Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 John 4:1

On Denying the Incarnation ] Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 John 3:2

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

May you have a blessed day
