over whelming loss

When life hands us a huge loss, massive loss like the tornado in OK or the bombing in Boston.  Everyone treats loss with a different frame of mind.  We all handle grief in our own way, but somethings are so over whelming it takes days maybe even weeks to overcome or maybe you never do.  Somehow you just give up, thinking there is no way to overcome this grief.  My God has provided us comfort

Job 16:5

But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief.

if we ask, He will take grief away forever when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.  There will be no more tears,

Revelation 21:4

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

it is a day I look forward too, as I have experienced grief far to often in my short 46 years here on this earth, yet I know I was made for greater things and a greater life in Heaven.

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Revelation 21:1

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

I for one look forward to the day when I can tell my Lord, thank you for giving your life so that I may have eternal life.  Yet are the lives loss any less important that we forget them, no in fact we need to remember what was special about them.  For when we let their love shine, that is the time that their life will live in us forever.
