Bitter Cold—AGAIN

So here we go again, plunging below freezing in the Northland.  I know its May first but our April SNOW did not bring May flowers in fact we are just seeing grass (brown) and snow piles are slowly going away.  And I know we are Minnesota people where if you step outside in January you take very short breathes for it is so cold it hurts your lungs usually don’t complain about the cold but enough.  Here if it gets below a certain temp you can toss a glass of water in the air and have nothing but ice vapor, it is so neat to see water turn into vapor.  My God works this way He is something solid, the rock I place my life foundation on, yet in the very next breath He can be a vapor that I never touch, yet I know He is there.  Just as I know spring will be here soon, its just going to take a little more time to get here.  They (the weather people) say we could be in the 80’s by next Tues.  right now I have 28 degrees, yep that would be close to a 50 degree change.

Change like this can green things up in a hurry.  Do you change like this one minute you are praising God the next you are not?  Do you only come to HIM in prayer when you need something?  Do you stop ever in your busy day to thank Him that you are on this side of the daisies?  He gives to us a set number of days and what you do with them is your choice as we have free will.

But just stop a minute, and count your blessings that you do have, and not ask for more.  Really, does He not provide for your every need just as He does for even the single sparrow, and if He did not get you that new car you wanted did He provide you with a dependable car that the insurance would not kill your budget or not blow your budget at the gas pump, He knows what He is doing for we are but a thread in the Master’s Tapestry.

2 Samuel 22:2

He said: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;

Psalm 59:16

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

2 Samuel 22:47

“The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Savior!

Psalm 62:2

Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Romans 15:4

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

God can provide for your every need all we have to do is humble ourselves before him and Ask and make sure to say THANK YOU!
