What Scares Me the Most

We all have fears…

losing loved ones,

                                                                           losing our jobs,

                                                                                                  losing our health,

losing our home.

Each and everyday we face these and so many more fears.

Is it easy to do, no it’s not easy but it is comforting knowing my God has everything worked out for me.

If it’s a lost job then He has in store a greater job for me,

if  I am not to work maybe I need to step back and become humble again in prayer

and give Him

for all He has blessed me with.

RIGHT NOW I still have a roof over my head,

I am still able to put food on the table for my family,

we are still able to work,

we still have our health even though friends are facing cancer.

I still am able to type this because I have mobility of my hands,

use of my mind and eyes…

what would one do if you lost one of those.

We are human, we stumble, we get back up, we brush off the dirt and we GO ON!!!

It’s not easy, I alone have faced failed business, almost losing our home, CANCER in our child, loss of horses, also losing family members to various things including cancer, in fact I even remember back to high school, and the date rape I endured, I really have lost track of  all the really high mountains and very low valleys that I have come through but I have had wonderful things too, marriage, births, life goes on, even when we don’t think we can, with the Lord by your side you can.

So what are you doing to help others along the way?

I read an email one time that described this lady called Rose, whether she is made up or was real, I don’t remember but I do remember the purpose of the story it stated that she was going to get her college education and she did even though she was in her 80’s she enjoyed being with everyone on the campus and even spoke at a gathering and  touched the lives of many on that campus, what are you doing to touch the lives of those right around you?  Did you stop and pick up the phone

to chat with someone who you know is hurting, who could use a stronger shoulder to lean on even if it’s just for 5 minutes.  So do it, do it right now, reach out to someone who is needing you.  It only takes a moment and yet you could be the one to make the difference.

We all face the high mountains to climb in our lives,

and yes we face

very low valleys too…

but with God and the promise of new life He shares with us and the gifts of His grace and Holy Spirit we can accomplish anything.  God only gives us what we can handle, never more and we are never tempted more than what we can endure…

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

It is because of these great words and many more from the

that I can find comfort, strength, love, understanding, and so much JOY!

I just love to sit back on my front porch swing and read His promises to me!  That’s right each and every one of these principles and promises are here for me.  So the next time something scares you…turn to the book with all the answers.  For if you live by these principles and never give up, He will bring you over every mountain and through every valley in this life.  So don’t forget to make a difference in someone’s life, for you never know if they are struggling up a mountain or in a deep valley that they think they will never be able to climb another step…
