In so many places in the Bible we are called to let our light shine, and that HE is a lamp onto our path, HE is the light of the world. But what is this light? Is it a electrical pulse within us, is it from outside, is it of this earth? The light is God’s power, glory, and holiness shining through us, as we focus less and less on ourselves and more and more on Him the brighter our light can shine. His grace also allows us to see what others overlook, did you see that man sitting on the park bench all alone, did you see the lady trying to get her groceries in the car yet the bags were packed to heavy, did you see the mom with 3 kids and the baby was fussing, did you see that young man walking down the street carrying a skate board, did you see the down turned eyes of someone on the street? Could you stop and help, lend a word, or just say HI and smile? Think of the world we would have if everyone showed love not hate, or not be suspicious, not to turn your back when you see someone in need. What would happen if God turned away from you? That’s the point HE NEVER DOES but you do, I have, I have run so far in the opposite direction I hoped He would never find me. I did awful things, and never thought I would be here writing of how much MY GOD LOVES ME, HOW could He love me enough to send His Son to cover my sins with his death upon the cross. How could His grace cover that for me? But its just that simple, He does love us that much and so much more, He does not want us to perish but He wants us to live with Him and have eternal life.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
